Our U11s continue to turn in some good performances, this time with a four goal thriller with Oxford Sunnyside, which keeps them in touch at the top end of their League. Full time 2-2

Northend United 3 Newry City 4 Saturday 22nd March 2025

A slow start from Northend seen the team go 1 nil down. After the slow start the boys showed what they are capable of and scored 3 quick goals through Kasper and an own goal. Half time 3-1

The 2nd half seen the team under pressure from the whistle and unfortunately conceded 3 goals, 2 from free kicks and 1 unstoppable shot from outside the box.

With that being their first defeat this year the Wee Blues will learn from it and move on to next week. Full time 3-4

Northend United 2 Ballymacash Rangers 2 Friday 7th March 2025

Game started off with both teams having chances but Ballymacash kept piling on the pressure throughout the half and scored 2 goals which they went into Halftime with the lead and deservedly so. Half time 0-2

Northend came out a different team in the 2nd half and showed why they are unbeaten in the league this year with some great passing that led to Jamie Butler’s great strike to pull one back for the wee blues. Northend continued to high press and got they're reward for it as Kacper Wesolek hit the back of the net with a powerful effort. Northend continued to pressure and had Ballymacash on the back foot to the final whistle. Full time 2-2

Northend United 1 Newry City 2 Saturday 1st March 2025

From the first whistle it was obvious the team was up for the cup quarter final clash with Newry. Energy levels where high and attitude was positive.

Both teams where well matched but Northend had the better chances, hitting the crossbar twice.

The match ended 0-0 and went to penalties which Newry won 2 -1.

A lot of positives for the wee blues to take from game to move onto the league next week where we hope to continue our good form. Full time 1-2

A real tight game from the start with both teams defences working well to shut each other out. The game was decided in the 2nd half with 10 mins left by an exceptional strike from Jamie Butler to get Northend the 3 points. Great start to the year for the wee blues. Full time 1-0

Northend United 5 Hillsborough Boys Colts 2 Saturday 15th February 2025

NE where up for it from the start in this game with a great volley from Cahir McAllister to open the scoring. Jamie Butler scored a sublime free kick in the top corner to then add another with a great low sot into the corner. Half time 3-0

Hillsborough came out in the 2nd half and scored 2 goals to leave the match edgy until Northend got another freekick that Cahir McAllister scored off the bar and in to ease it for the wee blues. Northend then got a penalty that was scored with power into the bottom left from William Lowry to make it 5 -2. Full time 5-2

Northend had a few good chances in the first half from corners but couldn't take advantage of them. The Colin Valley keeper then pulled off two great saves to keep them on level terms with the Blues. Colin Valley opened the match scoring just before halftime against the run of play. Half time 0-1

Northend came out on the attack in the 2nd half and won a free kick that Cahir McAllister clinically finished, giving the Colin Valley keeper no chance. Northend continued to pressure and got their reward from a corner that Caolan Logan finished with a great header to get the wee blues into the next round of the cup. Full time 2-1

Northend started off slow and that invited pressure from Oxford Sunnyside with a few great saves from Danny McCann that kept the game level until just before half time as Oxford scored as their pressure paid off. Half time 0-1

Northend came out in the 2nd half with more about them which led to some opportunities as they were a goal line clearance away from making it level. As the game was near the final whistle the Blues got a free kick just outside the box that Cahir McAllister took and finished into the top corner to get the point for the team. The wee blues showed a great fight to stay in the game until the end and got their reward. Full time 1-1

Northend United 2 Lisburn Rangers 2 Saturday 18th January 2025

Northend U11s were back in action today after a long lay-off. However, the Wee Blues didn’t take long to dust themselves down and showed great determination in their 2-2 draw with Lisburn Rangers, which started off the 2nd half of the season.

From the first whistle the team gave their all and took a well-deserved lead just before halftime through Kasper Wesolek. Half time 1-0

The second half seen a well worked goal finished by Cahir McAllister but Lisburn Rangers turned 2 goals.

A POTM performance from Kasper who moved into midfield and showed great determination and skill throughout the match. Full time 2-2
